My cousins Mindy and Holly, their mom, my Aunt Jane, my mom, Mindy's son Nick and Holly's daughter Emily all came to visit from Ohio and to help me celebrate my 40th birthday. It was so great having all of them here, we were sad when they left, because we don't get to see family very often. They promised to try and come back again, so I figured if I put it on the blog it might just hold them to it!
While everyone was here Adolfo and I got a nice break with the kids. Everyone was fighting over holding Oliver, and Nick and Emmy kept Simon very busy. Simon loved hanging out with the big kids and he's still talking about things that "Nick said".
While everyone was here Adolfo threw a party for me at the park next to our house. He made tons of great food and we had a lot of fun hanging out at the park. Our friends Sara, Mike and Maeve even drove up from Chicago for the party.

Adolfo told people gifts weren't necessary, but people didn't listen very well. I'm not complaining though because I got three gift certificates for spa services. Apparently it's pretty obvious how badly I need a massage and pedicure. My big gift though was a surprise trip from Adolfo to Montreal in the fall. I can't wait, I've heard so many good things about Montreal and the kids are staying home with grandma and grandpa Amatos!

Simon's Mr. T impersonation. We got these beads at a garage sale and he loves wearing them or dragging them around.

Awww, cute picture of my boys.

Oliver and Simon with their new stroller. Simon can either sit or stand in his stroller and Oliver can ride in his car seat until he's big enough to ride in the stroller front sitting up.

Speaking of sitting up, Oliver likes to pull himself up to sitting from a recline position and he likes to sit in the little chair for a short period of time.

He's also rolling from his tummy to his back. He loves to chew on blankets or burp clothes, especially when he starts to get upset about something.
