A brief update...

Well I know it's been a month since I last posted something and I know some of you are getting restless...allow me to explain. I was going to post some new stuff when I had some time over spring break and then our camera ended up in Chicago with Bari after her visit. Incidentally, none of us knows how that happened. Well we haven't gotten the camera back so I haven't really had anything to post because do you really just want to have me ramble on about how great Simon is? Or would you rather see some pictures of him in action? Okay, so maybe you wouldn't mind a little rambling.

I do have one picture from a playdate at Liam's house that Regan sent. Simon had fun discovering all of the new toys and looking out the window. Lately he's fascinated with the outside world, especially bird noises and truck sightings. As you can see in the picture Liam's leaning in for a kiss and I think Simon may have picked that up from him because he's been giving kisses a lot. Big open-mouthed wet kisses. Sometimes they're even hard for a mom to love. Icky. When Liam said Simon it sounded like he was saying "Diamond". I think Diamond Garcia has a nice ring to it. If we ever decide to become showbiz parents we'll keep that in mind.

He's climbing like crazy and has even learned how to lower himself backwards off of furniture. It's a bit awkward still but it's better than diving off headfirst. He's teething again and the drool factory is working overtime. We're not sure which teeth are coming in, we just know that he's not eating so well and a little over sensitive (okay cranky). We went to the Pet Expo this weekend and saw tons of dogs doing tricks, diving off of a dock, laying around at booths, etc. There was also a petting zoo and Simon loved all of it. He didn't even get scared when a great dane came right up to his face and sniffed him. It was a lot of fun.

The new camera should be here Wednesday so I'll do my best to get some pictures up this weekend. Also Adolfo is defending his dissertation on Friday so wish him luck or think good thoughts on his behalf. See you soon with pictures!!!
